As 2025 draws to a close, we want to thank you for your ongoing trust and support. This year has moved quickly, bringing new possibilities in technology and AI, as well as an increasingly diverse range of teacher and student needs. We are grateful to be working alongside you as education continues to evolve. This year, we made important strides in strengthening exam security, and we look forward to bringing you even more in 2026.
This year’s most important security improvements
Focus on cheat prevention
Throughout 2025, we have continued to strengthen our security measures to better protect your exams and support fair testing. In our High Security Mode, this includes improved detection of unusual or modified versions of Safe Exam Browser (SEB), alongside additional enhancements that further reduce the risk of cheating.
Screen recording
Monitor students’ screens to ensure they stay within the exam environment when using Medium security (browser) mode.
Student verification in class
Ensure that the right student is taking the exam by verifying their identity directly in the classroom. This reduces the risk of impersonation and strengthens trust in exam results.
Inline feedback
Provide clear and actionable feedback for students that supports formative learning, all in one secure place. We have improved the feature based on your suggestions and added the ability to categorize comments by selecting a color. Students can also mark comments as resolved.
