Santa Laurensia High School is a progressive Roman Catholic institution located in Tangerang, Indonesia. Established in 1994, the school offers a bilingual education with subjects taught in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Theja Kurniawan is the principal of the Alam Sutera campus, which serves 1,600 students and has 52 teachers. Together with Vice Principal Yulian Candra, he supports their teachers in administering daily, monthly, and final exams—all conducted on Exam.net across all subjects. To date, Santa Laurensia has completed over 500 000 online tests using the platform.
Before adopting Exam.net in 2020, Santa Laurensia High School faced several challenges with its assessment process.
Theja Kurniawan faced issues with exam integrity, as students found ways to cheat during tests. Traditional exam methods made it difficult to monitor student activity, increasing the risk of dishonest practices. Ensuring a fair testing environment was a priority, requiring a more secure and structured approach to prevent cheating.
“We wanted to strengthen exam integrity by ensuring students couldn’t cheat or access for example Google during tests. Without the right tools, there are countless ways for students to bypass restrictions.”
Theja Kurniawan,
Principal at Santa Laurensia High School
